Eat almonds to reduce the visibility of wrinkles

A new study, which used high-resolution photography techniques, shows a reduced width and expression of wrinkles in postmenopausal women who ate almonds as a daily snack.

Almonds are associated with many health benefits because they are full of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and plant fibers.

The study included 28 healthy postmenopausal women with skin types prone to burns. The first group of women consumed about 60g of almonds daily. The second group of women consumed 60g of snacks that do not contain almonds, daily. An assessment of the condition was made in the first week and after 4, 8, 12, and 16 weeks.

After 16 weeks, the width of the wrinkles in the women from the first group was reduced by 10%. The expression of the wrinkles, on the other hand, was reduced by 9%.

The results of this study indicate that daily consumption of almonds may play a role in reducing the severity of wrinkles in postmenopausal women.
